NAMM 2014: Paul Gilbert Interview - On Getting Out Of A Guitar Rut (Video)

We catch up with Paul after his ArtistWorks appearance   28-Jan-14

    MP4 15:52 mins

We had a chat with Paul Gilbert to gleam his pearls of guitar wisdom after he gave a talk on behalf of ArtistWorks at NAMM 2014.

Paul spoke about the pitfalls of progressing as a guitarist and offered advice for those who are struggling to get out of a rut.

The former Racer X and Mr. Big guitarist is now offering online tuition in collaboration with ArtistWorks, a website on which well-known musicians offer lessons and give video feedback to students.

Paul Gilbert has recorded 1800 videos for ArtistWorks, and offers lessons from beginner to advanced level.

In the interview, we also talked gear, NAMM and why it's important to play with passion - even if you're just playing three chords. As usual, Paul talks eloquently and at length.

Hear what Paul has to say in the video above.
