Thomas R Kolb writes:
The MC-500 is really a dedicated MIDI computer. The system software is loaded from disks, which makes the system a very versatile one. It can be used as a regular MIDI sequencer, a MIDI playback sequencer, a rhythm sequencer or even a bulk librarian. The recording system operates on four polyphonic tracks which can be merged and un-merged as many times as you like. All MIDI data can be edited to the most precise detail using the Microscope Mode.

The MC-500 is a breeze to use, but of course it cannot compete with a good MIDI sequencer software running on a computer.
