As well as being one of the most lovely shades of blue, this Extended VA really has some tasty sounds. 40 complex oscillator waveforms give you plenty of tone through their waveshaping controls

Well modelled ladder filter all DSP is pretty nice too. With a traditional ladder filter resonance (loss of bass) but also a balanced (bass compensated LP filter. Some other interesting modes together with the morphing filter

FX are pretty tasty and again add to the overall patch creation process.

Can make some delightful poly sounds, complex sequence and arpeggiator.

Considering its a full DSP synth, sounds pretty good. Modal have done a good job of making a lot of shortcuts to the deeper functions, but there is some menu diving involved.

Also available in desktop Cobalt8M and 61 key version Cobalt 8X

Comments About the Sounds:
Really like the pads this is capable of as well as some fairly hefty bass sounds

(Thanks to sonic for this info.)
and Modal for the pic
