This short film, an outtake from the Mellotron documentary Mellodrama, features Brian Kehew, author of Recording the Beatles, talking about the precursor to today's samplers - the Chamberlin keyboard.

The Chamberlin, invented by Harry Chamberlin in the late 40's, was the inspiration for the later Mellotron keyboard. About 100 of the Chamberlin 200's were made in the 1950's.
