The new Roland GW-7 is an arranger keyboard / workstation at an affordable price with a simple user interface, and a sound set that’s stocked with world, pop, and jazz sounds — plus companion accompaniment styles. It's claimed that no extensive knowledge of synthesis or sequencing is required to use this friendly instrument. This ease of use will make it attractive as a first-time workstation for players who are interested in pop, jazz, and world-music genres, but the GW-7’s sound quality and styles are rich and expressive enough to attract professionals as well. The GW-7 features a wide variety of pre-programmed Styles, which can be customized. There are 101 arrangements onboard, with 16 user memory locations. Choose from three band types: Drum & Bass, Combo, and Full Band. Ninety-nine song locations are provided for storing compositions. Connect the GW-7 to a computer or USB-equipped external device with one simple USB cable, and transfer data back and forth quickly and easily. The GW-7 can be constantly refreshed with new songs and Styles via USB data import — Standard MIDI Files can be loaded as well. The GW-7 offers an infrared D Beam, a pitch-bend/modulation lever, and a pair of control knobs for realtime expression. Performers will appreciate the GW-7’s large backlit LCD, especially on dark stages and dimly lit studio environments. For details on pricing and availablility check out:
